Udaipur, India – called City of Lakes OR Venice of East is very much famous for the Rajasthani Mewar Culture, Historical monuments, Scenic places to make it an international tourist destination is now in news due to an initiative to make it a Zero Waste (Conscious) city.
ECO HUT which was setup by 3 local activists in Udaipur, has taken it as a task via multi-dimensional efforts.
Their Vision is

Three pillars which run this movement are
Guddi Prajapat is a self-made entrepreneur who has more than 6 years of experience in designing hand made products and natural herbs. She is a passionate individual who has been the backbone of Eco Hut. Guddi Dee comes with a huge talent in designing and conducting zero waste design workshops. She is also credited with compiling a book on folk songs.
Ritesh Shekhawat is a management graduate and also a khojee from Green University called Swaraj. She comes with an expertise on hand made jewellery design. That is considered to be the best in Udaipur, Rajasthan. Her collection of seed jewellery has earned her the reputation of green designer. Her calmness and administrative skills makes her good in managing day to day activities in Eco Hut
Vishal Singh is a self-design learner and started working in design when he was 10 years old. He comes with a varied experience of custom handmade design products which are ecofriendly and utility driven. His experience in visualization makes him an asset in Eco Hut. Vishal has been awarded with the title of “Green Hero†and has initiated and conducted workshops in outside country on zero waste design. He has also worked on issues related with sustainable green design and is a name of repute in the environmental sector.
